The Martians have arrived in Beijing

Lots of reasons to be following the weather in Beijing.  Here's a nice site that includes a "Room with a View" a daily photograph taken from a hotel window.  The video is well worth watching for the lovely photographs, the balanced reminder that air quality in China is everyone's problem (and everyone's fault) and for Orville Schell of the Asia Society's comparison of our environmental problems with a Martian invasion.  It doesn't matter what country you're from -- it's time to stand together to figure out if there's a way out of this mess.
